Hardworking NHS staff have saved a combined quarter of a million pounds over the past week thanks to a discount on their hot food deliveries.
Just Eat introduced the 25 per cent discount to help the heroic members of the NHS who have been putting in extraordinary shifts as Britain battles the Covid-19 pandemic.
Tens of thousands of doctors, nurses, paramedics and healthcare workers across the country have had hot meals delivered for themselves, colleagues or their families since it launched last week.
Just Eat says the discount has already saved NHS staff £250,000.

Andrew Kenny, UK managing director Just Eat, said: "The overriding sense of community spirit over the last few weeks has been inspiring.
"Like each and every person playing their part in the national effort - be it by staying at home or working on the front line - we're committed to doing our bit in the fight against coronavirus.
"We are continually developing initiatives to support the heroes who are keeping this country going, and the most vulnerable who need help more than ever right now."
The discount entitles NHS and Northern Ireland's HSC workers 25 per cent off every day.
To be eligible, staff just need to visit the Just Eat website to register their NHS or HSC email address.
They then get a verification email to ensure it's an active NHS account. Once verified, they get a discount which can be used online.
Andrew Kenny added: "We're humbled by the overwhelming take-up of our discount and pleased to see that this small gesture is making a significant impact for NHS staff and their families."
In addition to discounted meals for healthcare workers, Just Eat is providing financial assistance for food delivery couriers who are unable to work due to self-isolation or falling ill as a result of coronavirus.
The food delivery app has also put in place a £10 million emergency support package to assist small independent restaurants, to help them keep the business running and support their staff.
