Coronavirus news LIVE: British 'super-spreader' revealed as 53-year-old cub scout leader

The so-called coronavirus 'super-spreader' has spoken about his ordeal.

Fifty-three-year-old Steve Walsh, who is believed to have unwittingly infected 11 other people after contracting the deadly disease in Singapore, is currently in quarantine in hospital in London.

Mr Walsh, an assistant cub scout leader from Hove, said he has recovered as he thanked medics for their treatment.

Globally, the coronavirus death toll has reached 1,000 victims as it continues to spread around the world.
