A seventh person has died from Covid-19 in Italy, with at least 2000 testing positive in just a matter of days.
Austrian authorities are considering introducing border controls with Italy, with northern parts of the country on lockdown as health officials battle to find the original source of the outbreak.
Meanwhile, billions have been wiped off stock markets around the world amid fears of a coronavirus pandemic.
It comes as four more cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in the UK over the weekend.
