Natalie Cassidy has spoken out after the EastEnders set was shut down due to coronavirus fears.
The soap star, who plays Sonia Fowler in the BBC soap, vowed to dig out her character's iconic old trumpet to keep herself entertained while she's not at work.
A BBC spokesperson has confirmed that the amount of episodes broadcast each week will be reduced from four to two while filming is postponed indefinitely.
Episodes will now air on Mondays at 8pm and Tuesdays at 7:30pm only with immediate effect.
Taking to Twitter, Natalie, 36, posted: "I shall get my trumpet out at some point and entertain myself."
The tweet left the actress' Twitter followers in stitches.
One tweeted: "Maybe stick your trumpet out the window and play a few tunes for the neighbours."
"That would be iconic," another posted.
A third said: "I'd pay to see that."
The statement from EastEnders bosses read: "In light of the spread of Covid-19, after much consideration, it has been decided that filming on EastEnders will be postponed until further notice. The decision was made after the latest government update.
"We will continue to follow the latest news and advice from the World Health Organisation and Public Health England.
"We have also taken the decision to reduce the amount of episodes we broadcast each week to two, so that we can ensure the audience can continue to enjoy EastEnders in their homes for as long as possible."
It's not clear how many episodes EastEnders has ready to air.
Episodes are typically filmed six weeks in advance, which means on a normal schedule the show could run until the end of April or the beginning of May.
However, with less episodes being screened the show could go on for a few more months yet.
