Coronavirus mural appears in west end as artist urges Glaswegians 'stay safe'

A new mural has appeared in Glasgow's west end in response to the coronavirus crisis.

The art, which is the creation of the rebel bear - whose work has previously featured on Glasgow Live - depicts a man and a woman kissing, their masks removed from their faces.

The rebel bear posted a photo of the mural - which can be found on Bank Street, just off Great Western Road in Kelvinbridge - on instagram, with the comment: 'connections can be remade - hopefully stronger than ever', once the pandemic comes to an end.

They said: "A time will come when; the masks can be pulled down, the borders will reopen, and connections can be remade - hopefully stronger than ever.

"Much love and stay safe x."

The rebel bear is responsible for the likes of the Theresa May Brexit mural, also in the west end, and the Queen and the Pope playing football together, at Celtic Park and Ibrox.
