Former Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has left a Chinese hospital after recovering from coronavirus.
Now playing with Shandong Luneng in the Asian country’s Super League, Fellaini was diagnosed as positive for the virus which has swept the globe back on 22 March.
He has since been treated and had been posting regular updates on his fitness work continuing while in his hospital room, with his club today confirming a complete recovery.
“Fellaini was assessed and was deemed to have recovered, and was discharged today,” said a statement.
The player himself posted a message on Instagram, thanking the medical staff of the club and hospital for helping him on his way back to health.

"The time has come for me to thank from the bottom of my heart the medical staff of the hospital, their nursing staff, as well as my club and its medical staff for taking such good care of me," the Belgian international said.
"The hardest part is behind me! Let's keep fighing, it's important!"
He now faces a two-week quarantine period during which time he will continue to be monitored.
The CSL has been indefinitely postponed, having been due to start on 22 February.
Fellaini left Old Trafford in 2019 after five-and-a-half years with United.
