Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted Manchester United are “worried” about the threat of coronavirus could have on their European campaign.
United progressed to the Europa League last 16 with an emphatic 6-1 aggregate win over Club Brugge on Thursday night.
Solskjaer’s side enter Friday’s draw with the prospect of playing Internazionale in Milan over the course of the next month.
As of the time of writing, there are have been over 650 confirmed cases of coronavirus in northern Italy and 17 deaths.
Inter played their last-32 home leg against Ludogorets behind closed doors on Thursday night and last weekend’s Serie A clash with Sampdoria was postponed.
“I think the whole world has to think differently and be aware of the virus,” Solskjaer said when asked about the threat of coronavirus.
“I think we’ll definitely look at things when we do. You can see what happens in Italy with the games and I think it’s a worry for everyone.
Solskjaer added: “We’ve got to make the precautions we need to.” United will learn their last-16 fate in the draw on Friday lunchtime.
