Coronavirus live updates and announcements in Canberra, April 2, 2020

Social distancing measures in the ACT and NSW are expected to be in place for at least 90 days.

The ACT Legislative Assembly will be in session today to pass legislation to support the government's response to coronavirus. Legislation on the restrictions would also be introduced today.

Further economic stimulus packages are also expected to be brought in.

We'll be bringing you all the latest updates through the day here as news breaks and the situation develops. The blog is lower on the page, and sometimes takes a moment to appear.
