Coronavirus law breakers fined as police find drugs stash in Otley raid

A drugs stash has been seized by officers from West Yorkshire Police after a raid on a home in Leeds.

Officers searched an address in Otley with police getting more than they bargained for upon discovering a further breach of the strict coronavirus lockdown rules

Everyone inside the home at the time was fined by police following the raid which took place last Saturday.

In a post on Facebook, West Yorkshire Police said: "On Saturday 23rd January, officers from your local NPT seized the below drugs stash from an address in Otley.

"In addition to the drugs being seized, the occupants of the address were also found to be breaching Coronavirus rules & were issued with the applicable fines."

An Otley resident had said: "It's good to see people like this be punished. I had seen the house get raided on Saturday, and knew straight away what it was for.

"If they're out selling drugs, especially in times like this, then I hope justice comes down hard on them."
