A further 411 cases of coronavirus have been reported in Scotland in the last 24 hours – including 22 in Ayrshire.
New data was published this afternoon by the Scottish Government and Public Health Scotland after First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced the lockdown easing that will take place from later this week.
Sadly, a further 12 people have died from the virus, including one in the NHS Ayrshire & Arran health board region. Scotland's death toll from the virus now stands at 7,596.
The number of COVID-19 cases in Ayrshire has risen by 22 to 16,483.
Latest figures for the region's hospitals show the number of Covid patients has increased by two to 30 although fewer than five patients are being treated in intensive care.
Nationally, there are 250 people in hospital and 23 in ICU.
A total of 2,436,398 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 338,443 have received their second dose.
