Health officials have confirmed that a third person in the UK has tested positive for coronavirus.
The patient, who did not catch the virus in the UK or on mainland China, is set to be treated at one of the UK's four infectious diseases centres for treatment. The first two people in Britain to be diagnosed with the virus are being treated at a hospital in Newcastle.
It comes as ministers consider banning arrivals from China, with officials saying that possible entry restrictions are under “constant review”.
The death toll from the virus in mainland China jumped by 73 to 563, with more than 28,000 confirmed infections.
