Coronavirus: Katie Taylor shows off her footballing skills as she urges Irish public to "stay safe and healthy" amid COVID-19 crisis

Katie Taylor is one of the best female boxers in the world, but she's not a bad footballer either.

The Bray native earned 11 caps with the Republic of Ireland, with her last appearance coming back in 2011.

Since giving up football she has won an Olympic gold medal and five world titles at professional level, but she has shown she still maintains plenty of footballing ability.

The 33-year-old uploaded a video to Instagram doing keepy-uppies with a small football.

She posted: "Entertaining myself during this lockdown! Stay safe and healthy."

Taylor's former Ireland teammate Marie Curtin commented on the post, saying: "Good to see you kicking a football again."

The boxer replied: " I have two left feet at this stage."

Taylor is back in America training for her fight with Amanda Serrano which is due to take place in May in Manchester.
