Coronavirus | Karnataka Health Minister B. Sriramulu tests positive; gets admitted to govt. hospital

Unlike other politicians in the State who made a beeline at private hospitals for treatment, Karnataka’s Health and Family Welfare Minister who tested positive for COVID 19 on Sunday was admitted in the State run Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital. 

Mr Sriramalu took to twitter to state that he developed fever and decided to get himself tested on Sunday and the results had revealed that he was positive for COVID 19.

He said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, officials’ of his department and other departments were working on the frontline risking their health to fight against COVID 19.

He said that he had travelled across all 30 districts in the state and tried to ensure that people get the required treatment. “It is testing time for me and I will have to be hospitalised,” he said on Twitter.

Scores of people hailed the Minister’s decision to get himself admitted in a government run hospital.
