Coronavirus: Josie Gibson breaks down in tears as she calls Big Brother 'a doddle' compared to self-isolation

Big Brother winner Josie Gibson has called her experiences on the reality show “a doddle” compared to self-isolation.

The Bristol-born star broke down in tears during an appearance on ITV’s This Morning today (3 April), in which she expressed her struggles while alone with her one-year-old son, Reggie.

“I found Big Brother an absolute doddle compared to this,” she admitted. “I will never, ever, ever take human interaction for granted again.”

“I’m isolating with just me and Reg,” she continued. “I was thinking yesterday, when you cuddle someone, you hug somebody, those moments are so special.”

Gibson was appearing on the show via webcam, along with former Big Brother presenter Davina McCall and Celebrity Big Brother participant Vanessa Feltz, all of whom spoke about their recent experiences.

McCall appeared moved by Gibson’s tears, promising to stay in touch with her once the segment was over.

“I feel your pain,” McCall told her. “We all are giving you an enormous hug. I’m going to get online straight after this and get in contact with you.”

Gibson won the 2010 series of Big Brother, where she claimed a £100,000 prize.

Months after her victory, she competed on Ultimate Big Brother, Channel 4’s “greatest hits” edition of the reality show. She would walk out of the series after three days.
