Coronavirus: Johnstone removal company offers a helping hand to those in need

A Johnstone removal company is offering its services to charities in the community who are helping those in need during the pandemic.

Generous businessman Hayden Grant – who owns HJG Removals – is appealing for organisations to get in touch with him as he wants to help as much as he can while he is unable to work.

The 24-year-old has the use of a removal van, which he says could be used to help deliver food to the community or help charities move essential items to help people during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Hayden, from Johnstone, said: “I obviously am not able to work just now and I am normally really busy, so I just had an idea that I could still do my bit in the community.

“I am just sitting here with my van and I thought I would be better off helping out some of the organisations in Renfrewshire which are still working hard to help people. I know a lot of places are delivering packages of food to people who can’t get out. Anything that any charity thinks I could help with, please do get in touch.”

Hayden, who set up his company a year ago after serving six years in the army, added: “I have had a lot of support from people in the community since I started my business, so I would love to help out where I can.”

Anyone who would like to get in touch with HJG Removals can call 07477 026 162.
