Coronavirus: Jamie Oliver fronts new easy meals cooking show amid pandemic

Jamie Oliver is doing his part for the coronavirus outbreak.

The TV chef, 44 is set to release a new cooking show on Channel 4 with the aim of helping self isolating individuals who are homebound.

Professional cook Jamie will be there to help viewers during the unexpected pandemic and will be sharing easy and affordable recipes made from cupboard essentials.

The brand new show will air on March 23 and each episode will run for thirty minutes at a time.

Jamie's new show will be aired on weekdays in a programme that will be called "Keep Cooking and Carry On".

Taking to Twitter to announce the exciting news, Channel 4 revealed that it is aiming to do everything in it's power to help the people of the UK to get through this hard and very strange time.

The broadcaster wrote: "Join @jaimeoliver in his brand new show as he helps the nation with easy recipes, cooking tips and ingenious hacks whilst many of us are staying at home".

Throughout the whole pandemic, bulk buying has become the biggest problem amid panicked shoppers.

Items such as pasta, rice and bread have been like gold dust, but thankfully, Jamie has a solution and is here to help.

The TV chef is making it his priority to teach viewers how they can make their own bread and pasta at home with everyday ingedients. 

In a statement, Jamie revealed that cooking at home has never been more 'important' than it is now.

Taking to Twitter, he shared: "Cooking nutritious meals for yourself and your loved ones has never been more important".

"This show will be packed with easy and delicious recipes that the whole family can enjoy.

"Plus loads of tips, tricks and hacks for simple swaps and ways you can make the recipes work with what you've got.

"Let's big up those store cupboard and freezer faves and hero recipes you can take lots of ways".

Jamie has helped many different kinds of people down through his career from huge families, to struggling workers who aren't making that much money.

Jamie's easy-to-follow recipes, and cookbooks like 5 Ingredients that focuses on making meals with minimal items has helped millions of people throughout the world.

There's no doubt that his latest venture will go down a treat with quarantined viewers.
