Coronavirus Ireland: Worry as Dublin school sends urgent letter to parents in Covid-19 scare

A Dublin primary school has sent an urgent letter to parents after a coronavirus case was confirmed.

St. Joseph's C.B.S. Primary School in Fairview made the announcement on Tuesday.

School officials confirmed that any close contacts of the pupil who tested positive will be notified by the HSE.

Meanwhile the rest of the school will stay open and continue to operate as normal.

The letter sent to parents and guardians read: "The school has been notified of a confirmed case of Covid 19.

"The HSE was contacted and have advised that they will be contacting close contacts of the confirmed case.

"These close contacts will be asked to restrict their movements and will be given an appointment for a test.

"The close contacts were identified and have been informed by the school of this.

"Only those contacted by the HSE will need to restrict their movements.

"The HSE has advised the school that all other students may continue to come to school."
