Coronavirus Ireland: What time is Taoiseach Leo Varadkar making a live announcement and how can I watch it?

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar is set to brief the nation this afternoon with the latest updates on the countries Covid-19 response.

The NPHET put their latest expert guidance forward at a meeting on Friday morning which could reportedly see restrictions last until the May Bank Holiday.

The Taoiseach will likely announce at this briefing what the plan is regarding lockdown going forward.

Lockdown restrictions were originally supposed to last until Easter Sunday but with the curve now beginning to flatten - the recommendation will be made to keep up the good work.
