Vicky Phelan says she has "made peace" with the fact that a doctor might have to save another patient over her if she falls ill with coronavirus.
The brave CervicalCheck campaigner made the revelation on RTE's Morning Ireland on Wednesday.
The mum-of-two told Bryan Dobson: "I think it was the first thing that came to my mind, even before I heard about the cases in Italy where doctors did have to make that decision.
"For me I'm still delighted to be here two years later to be honest, considering I wasn't given that amount of time at the very beginning.

"So I've kind of made my peace with that and I would hope that if a doctor had to make that decision, and was presented with two patients, me and another person who was around the same age and who had a better chance of survival, I would hope the doctor would make the decision to save the person who would have the least complications and a better chance of survival.
"But that's something that I had to get my head around quite a long time ago, and I don't think its fair that our doctors are going to be in that position.
"But I suppose I'd be having that conversation myself maybe to make it easier on someone if it got to that point."

Limerick woman Vicky also revealed that she has been self-isolating for nearly a month already due to the fact she is in one of the "at-risk" groups.
She added: "I've been self-isolating from a very early stage, I made the decision from around March 4, when we had just two cases I believe, to stop all social interaction.
"Whatever about me, yes obviously I am trying to keep myself alive here that has been my aim for the last two years, but I want to make sure that I don't infect other people either, so I'm very glad I took that decision very early on."
