Two healthcare workers have been hospitalised after contracting coronavirus.
A new report on Covid-19 in healthcare workers shows the two people were admitted to a hospital with the virus in the week ending midnight on Saturday.
Data from the HSE's Health Protection Surveillance Centre also shows that 16 more staff in the sector tested positive for the bug during that seven day period.
A total of 329 healthcare staff, all aged between 34 and 54, have been hospitalised with the virus since March.
At least 137 of these workers did not have an underlying condition.
A further 53 of them, between the ages of 43 and 60, have been admitted to an ICU - accounting for 16% of Ireland critical coronavirus cases.
The HPSC states that 11 of these did not have an underlying condition while the remaining 42 did.
A total of eight healthcare workers in Ireland have died after contracting Covid-19, including one "probable" case.
In terms of ICU cases in healthcare staff, 27 were women and 26 were men.
The two youngest members of the health profession fighting for their lives with the coronavirus were aged 15 to 24.
Twenty-one were nurses, 10 were healthcare assistants, seven were doctors and the rest were spread out among at least 10 other roles.
