Two members of the force are shown carrying an elderly woman's shopping bags as they escort her during the coronavirus crisis in Walkinstown, Dublin.
The photograph was taken by a member of the public and sent in to gardai yesterday.
Gardai posted the picture on the force's official Facebook page and added: "Thank you to a member of the public for sending us in this lovely photograph taken in the Walkinstown area earlier today.
"If you need assistance, remember An Garda Síochána is here to help. #YouveGotAFriend #AllYouveGotToDoIsCall."
Another picture put up today shows the heartwarming moment gardai delivered essential supplies to an isolated man in Co Limerick.
Officers took items such as coal, sticks, an ESB top-up and medication to the elderly man, who has no transport.
An appeal was also launched for anyone who feels they need help to call the gardai, who will assist in any way they can.
A garda spokesman said: "Co Limerick gardai delivering coal, sticks, ESB top up and medication to a man who has no transport.
"Our members across the country are available to assist. Don't be afraid to pick up the phone and call us if you need help."
