Doctor Tony Holohan managed to catch a break in play to have a cheeky giggle at a bizarre question put his way at Monday night's briefing.
The Chief Medical Officer struggled to hold in the laughter when quizzed about wedding numbers and the offer of a 'partition' to be erected making two different rooms.
He was asked if a wedding could hold 25 guests in one room and 25 in another with the partition coming down for speeches only.
At Level 3 currently, there is a limit of 25 guests for both the wedding ceremony and reception no matter how big a venue may be.
And the CMO grinned and chuckled for a couple of seconds when he had to reiterate what he thought was a fairly clear concept.

He was asked: "Would it be possible to hold a wedding with 25 people in one room, 25 in another, perhaps separated by a partition that was opened for the speeches?"
Dr Holohan gave a quick side eye during his comical reaction before regaining composure and giving a serious answer to the request.
He said: "I think, and you're giving me an opportunity to get an important message across, there are measures in place and it represents in many cases, guidance around people's behaviour and decision making.
"And we need people to accept responsibility for what that means.
"It isn't a set of rules to be gotten around, people need to comply, not only with what it says but the spirit of what it says, if you see what I'm saying.
"And the scenario that you describe there to me, doesn't seem like something that would be in keeping with the spirit of what we're trying to say."
