Health officials have announced 457 new cases of the coronavirus in Ireland today.
That brings the total number of cases in the country since the pandemic began to 238,148.
There have also been three further deaths from COVID-19 in the country.
So far, 4,718 people have sadly lost their lives as a result of the disease.
The HSE is working to identify any contacts the patients may have had to provide them with information and advice to prevent further spread.

As of April 1st 2021, 893,375 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Ireland:
636,963 people have received their first dose.
256,412 people have received their second dose.
