A staggering 16 counties reported zero new coronavirus cases over the previous 24 hours, new statistics reveal.
While Dublin, which has been the epicentre of the outbreak in Ireland, reported just three new infections over the same period.
The data released by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre is valid up to midnight on Monday, June 1.
The counties that saw no increase in Covid-19 cases are Carlow, Cavan, Cork, Donegal, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Leitrim, Longford, Mayo, Monaghan, Offaly, Sligo, Westmeath, Wexford and Wicklow.
The capital meanwhile saw an increase of just three new confirmed infections, significantly slower growth than during the peak of the outbreak.
Dublin remains the hardest-hit region in the country, with 12,093 confirmed cases accounting for just under half of all positive tests in Ireland.
It comes after it emerged last night three more people have died from the virus in Ireland.
It brings the total number who have died from Covid-19 to 1,659.
While 47 further cases have been confirmed here, meaning 25,111 Covid-19 infections have been confirmed in Ireland since the pandemic began.

The announcement was made by the Department of Health on Thursday evening.
