Coronavirus Ireland: Six dedicated lads running 450km in a month to raise much needed funds for Tallaght Hospital to fight COVID-19

A team of six dedicated lads will attempt to raise much-needed funds for Tallaght Hospital to fight the COVID-19 pandemic by running 450km in the next month.

Daniel Murphy, Conor Ryan, Ryan Carpenter, Evan Kilbane, Robert Nowlan and Paul Allen will be taking on the task and tracking their progress on Facebook as they attempt to support frontline healthcare heroes in Tallaght.

"Some of us have ran before and others not but we aim to run 450km by May 3rd starting tomorrow," Daniel said in a post on the team's Facebook page, Running for Tallaght Hospital's Staff.

"A massive challenge as a team and individuals.

"All 100% of proceeds will go directly to the hospital on May 3 and you can track our progress on this Facebook page.

"We will update as we run however and where we are as team using the Nike Run App.

"No donation to small and at this time in our nation's history, a small bit of spare change can go a massive distance."

You can donate yourself to the team's efforts here.
