Sligo has gone more than a week without a new coronavirus case, official figures show.
The last time a Covid-19 infection was reported in the county was on Wednesday, May 13.
The latest statistics released by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre show that nine counties in total recorded zero new cases in the 24-hour period up to midnight on Friday, May 22.
Donegal, Kerry, Laois, Leitrim, Longford, Louth, Sligo, Tipperary and Wexford all reported no further confirmed cases.
Dublin remains the epicentre of the virus in this country, with 11,873 people picking up the disease since the outbreak began.
It comes after Department of Health officials confirmed this evening that four more people have died from coronavirus in Ireland.
However just 57 new cases of the disease have been found here, bringing the total number of infections in this country to 24,639.
