The number of people in close contact with a confirmed Covid-19 cases is at its highest point since mid-March, HSE data shows.
For the majority of April and May, those in Ireland who tested positive for the virus said they were in close proximity to three other people on average.
However, that figure has risen to above five for the first time in over two months, according to the latest contact tracing information from the HSE.
The number of close contacts an Irish case had stood below three just over two weeks ago.

Health officials believe the recent rise is down to the lifting of restrictions during phase one which began on May 18.
There are currently 255 people being treated for either confirmed or suspected Covid-19 in Irish hospitals.
There were 34 people in an ICU with Covid-19 as of 8pm on Sunday, with a further 11 suspected cases in receipt of critical care.
It comes after just one coronavirus related death was announced by the Department of Health on Sunday.
There were also a further 25 confirmed cases recorded in the Republic of Ireland.
There have now been 25,201 infections, while the death toll stands at 1,679.
