Those listening to Morning Ireland on RTE Radio 1 today will have noticed there was something missing - sport bulletins.
RTE said on the programme there would be no sport reports at the end of their news updates as there's very little happening in the sporting world.
Stunned listeners expressed their surprise at the absence of sport updates, with some taking to Twitter to have their say.
One user said: "Thinking of the sports staff in @rte. No sports report on @morningireland as nothing to report. Hope to hear all ye back on the morning sports in the next few weeks."
Another commented: "I love the morning sports news on RTE after the 8:30 news headlines - anticipating the weekend's matches in various sports. They had no sports news to report this morning. Strange times..."
Someone else added: "Sign of the World we currently live in that there is no Sports News @morningireland @RTEsport this morning because bluntly there is no Sports News."
