Coronavirus Ireland: No new deaths, 252 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed

Health officials have announced 252 new cases of the coronavirus in Ireland today.

That brings the total number of cases in the country since the pandemic began to 70,711.

There have also been no further deaths from COVID-19 in the country.

So far, 2,022 people have sadly lost their lives as a result of the disease.

289 COVID-19 patients are in hospital, with 33 in ICU.

Dublin once again leads the way with 88 of today's cases in the capital.

The HSE is working to identify any contacts the patients may have had to provide them with information and advice to prevent further spread.
