Coronavirus Ireland: No new deaths, 11 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed

Health officials have announced 11 new cases of the coronavirus in Ireland today.

That brings the total number of cases in the country since the pandemic began to 25,638.

There have also been no further deaths from COVID-19 in the country.

So far, 1,746 people have sadly lost their lives as a result of the disease.

The HSE is working to identify any contacts the patients may have had to provide them with information and advice to prevent further spread.

The COVID-19 Dashboard provides up-to-date information on the key indicators of COVID-19 in the community.

Over the past 14 days, the total number of confirmed cases notified to the HPSC is 165. Of which;

  • Males 41% / Females 59%
  • Median age is 31 years old; 74% of these cases were under 45 years of age
  • 20 counties reported new cases; Dublin 47%, Kildare 16% & Wicklow 6%
  • 12% of these cases were travel related
