Kildare recorded a jump of 24 coronavirus cases on Sunday, according to the Government's official figures.
The latest county breakdown of cases shows that 19 counties didn't register a single new infection in the 24 hours prior to midnight on Sunday.
KIldare was the only county to see a daily rise of more than one case.
However, don't be alarmed if you noticed the recent spike as the number of positive tests in Dublin fell by 29 to 12,238 during the same period.
No health official has explained this specific shift in infections in these counties.
But it is mentioned on the Government's website that cases may be reassigned to another county when they are reviewed by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre.
While this is the likely reason as to why there has been a change in Dublin and Kildare's figures, the Irish Mirror has contacted the Department of Health to get confirmation.
Meanwhile, there have been three new deaths linked to the coronavirus in the Republic of Ireland.
It comes as 10 more confirmed cases were announced by the Department of Health.
There have now been a total of 1,720 deaths here associated with the bug.
The total number of infections stands at 25,391 as of Tuesday evening.
