Coronavirus Ireland: New merchandise service set up to help Irish music artists during pandemic

A brand new service has been set up to help support struggling Irish musicians during these difficult and unprecedented times.

The current COVID-19 pandemic has put the live music industry on pause but EVNTZ.App is hoping to continue to help fans support their favourite artists in their time of need.

In the past decade, the main source of revenue for artists has changed from album and single sales to shows, live performances and merchandise.

EVNTZ.app are providing a complete merchandising platform for artists of all levels across Ireland to create and provide unique products to offer their fans as an engaging way to support them during the lockdown restrictions.

EVNTZ.app will handle the processing, printing and fulfillment of this service which is completely FREE for artists with 100% of the profits going directly to the bands, singers and musicians themselves.

According to a study by BroadBandChoices, an artist needs a staggering 2,492 streams on Spotify to match the Irish minimum wage of €10.10.

That means it takes thousands of streams to produce the same revenue that one single piece of merchandise could provide.

Artists who are interested can apply to join the initiative here and you can learn more about EVNTZ.app on its website here.
