Coronavirus Ireland: Katie Taylor shares training circuit that can be done at home

Boxing icon Katie Taylor is helping people to stay fit during the Covid-19 crisis by posting training circuits that can be done at home.

The former Olympic champion and current professional world champ took to social media to announce the upcoming videos and post the first of the series.

Taylor, 33, tweeted: "Hi all, I will be posting a series of boxing circuits over the next few weeks that you can do at home without equipment.

"Here is the first installment. I hope you enjoy it. Stay safe, healthy and strong."

Conor McGregor told fans that he would be taking on the routine himself, saying: "Champion! Thank you Katie, going to give this a go tonight! #StayActive"

Taylor is due to take on Amanda Serrano in what looks set to be the biggest fight in the history of women's boxing.

The bout was scheduled for May 2, but Taylor's opponent Serrano claims it has been postponed.

The Manchester fight night, set to be headlined by Dillian Whyte’s heavyweight clash with Alexander Povetkin, has not officially been cancelled, but Serrano took to Twitter to tell fans that it's off.

In a tweet, the Puerto Rican said: "To all my fans that keep asking me: YES! my May 2nd fight has been postponed, a new date to be announced soon.

"It has Nothing to do with myself or my opponent Everyone knows the critical crisis we are in. This Covid-19 is serious, please be safe out there. God bless us all."
