Coronavirus Ireland: Irish man in China's 41 word message has thousands hopeful for the future

An Irish man living in China has given a lift to thousands of people with his tweet about the latest situation in the coronavirus' country of origin.

China is attempting to phase their way back to normality with schools, shops and restaurants re-opening after draconian style methods of quarantine.

And many are looking to China to try and get a sign of when we can expect things to start heading back to normal on this side of the globe.

One Irish man has given all these people the message of hope they are after with his tweet, just 41 simple words, being liked by almost six thousand people hoping they will soon experience the same.

Twitter user Number Theory666 said: "Tonight I went out for dinner with more than one person. This is the first time this has been allowed since early January.

"Afterwards we got a few drinks. There were like seven of us. I nearly cried with happiness."

Dozens of people thanked the Beijing based man for his message of hope saying it will help them to keep going during this crisis.

One Cork woman replied: "Thank you so much for tweeting this, I just read it to my mom, who's working in ICU, and she got emotional knowing there's light at the end of the tunnel."

While others said they were "nearly crying with happiness" at the thought that a similar day will soon come in Ireland.

With over 81,000 cases and more than 3,000 deaths - China is now beginning to plan for the new normal after this Covid-19 pandemic.

China has said that it defeated the virus but with a worry that a second outbreak could happen due to the high amount of cases worldwide, they are not getting complacent just yet.
