Patients who have been admitted to ICU with COVID are spending more time in critical care, the HSE has warned amid a drop of people in hospital with the disease.
As 496 people were hospitalised with COVID across all of Dublin's hospitals last night, HSE chief Paul Reid issued a call for the public to "help our hospitals".
He warned that the country remains "at risk" while 77 people remain in ICU in the capital's hospitals as of 8pm last night.
Of all the ICU beds in Dublin, 16 were remaining including three in CHI Crumlin.
And a further 123 suspected cases were in hospitals in the capital, with 60 of them in St James's and 12 in Children's Health Ireland locations.
HSE chief Paul Reid said today: "COVID-19 hospitalised patients have reduced again to 1367. But with 205 in ICU & 301 receiving critical care outside of ICU, we remain at high risk. Our consultants advise of patients treated in ICU for longer periods. Please continue to help our hospitals to recover."
