Coronavirus Ireland: GAA club running 2,000km in 30 days to raise money for St James's Hospital

A GAA club is running 2,000km in 30 days to help raise funds for their local hospital in the battle against coronavirus.

St James's Gaels GAA Club based in Dublin will take on the task in an effort to raise money for their namesake St James' Hospital, Dublin Live reports.

The club began their herculean effort yesterday, with members of their men's side running 110km in isolation to kick things off.

The campaign has raised €2,500 so far, halfway to their target of €5,000 to help the hospital in the fight against COVID-19.

"The Adult Men's team kicked of their 2,000km in 30 days for St. James's Hospital Dublin in great style yesterday," the club posted.

"110km was ran in Day 1.

"The response of support has also been fantastic as well.

"All monies raised will go to St James Hospital to help with their amazing efforts to the current crises.

"To keep up to the date with the lads efforts head over to our Instagram story for daily updates on our pages story as well as profiles on all involved."
