Coronavirus Ireland: Full list of lockdown restrictions set to be lifted from April 5

Taoiseach Micheal Martin has confirmed the lockdown restrictions that are set to be eased from April 5.

As expected, there are no major changes although there's good news for builders, who will return to work, and kids, who will be able to get back to playing sport.

The 5km limit will be done away with and people will be allowed to travel within their own counties or 20km from their county border.

Up to two households will also be allowed to meet outdoors or can meet indoors if both have been vaccinated.

Here's a full rundown of the changes that will come into effect from April 5:

Travel, gatherings and funerals

The 5km limit will be scrapped and people will be allowed to travel within their own county or up 20km from their county border.

Up to two households may be permitted to meet outdoors in public areas such as parks.

People who are fully vaccinated will be allowed to meet indoors with other people who are fully vaccinated with immediate effect.

The number of people allowed to attend a funeral will increase from 10 to 25 from April 26.

Some outdoor sites such as Dublin Zoo will also be allowed to reopen from this date.

Sport

Tennis, golf and children's sport will return from April 26.

Senior inter-county GAA training will resume from April 19, as will training for certain high performance athletes as approved by Sport Ireland.

Construction

Builders will return to work on a phased basis from April 12.

The measures announced today will continue up to the 4th of May, at which point the following areas will be under consideration:
