Coronavirus Ireland: Dublin sees biggest weekly jump in new Covid-19 cases

Dublin and Kildare have seen the biggest weekly jumps in coronavirus by some distance, according to the latest figures.

Statistics from July 3 to July 10 show the capital had 24 infections while Kildare recorded 19 more.

Kilkenny, Laois, Leitrim and Roscommon are the only counties not to have seen a rise in the past week.

Waterford and Sligo, both seven, Wicklow and Louth, both six, have all seen notable jumps amid fears of a second wave.

Experts fear Covid-19 could become a “major problem” again if the health advice is not adhered to.

Ireland is set to move into phase four of the reopening plan next Monday although that could be pushed back if cases continue to rise.

Below shows how many cases each county in Ireland has had and how much those numbers have grown from July 3 to July 10.
