Sligo has officially hit one month since its last new case of coronavirus.
However Dublin saw a spike in infections in the latest data released by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre.
The capital saw 31 new infections reported over a 24-hour period, far more than any other region.
Meanwhile Sligo currently remains on 128 confirmed cases since the pandemic began. This figure has not changed since Monday, May 11.
The latest data was measured up to midnight on Friday, June 12, meaning the western county has now gone a month without a new infection.
In total, 19 counties recorded no new cases over the last 24 hours.
The only counties to see a rise in case numbers were Carlow, Dublin, Galway, Kilkenny, Mayo, Monaghan and Roscommon.
It comes after one further death and eight new cases of Covid-19 were announced last night.
The current death toll now stands at 1,706 while the total number of confirmed cases now stands at 25,303 for the entire country.
The Department of Health released the latest figures on Sunday evening.
