A further 482 coronavirus cases have been confirmed this evening.
Meanwhile sadly another 7 deaths have bee reported
The figures were announced by the National Public Health Emergency Team this evening as Ireland marks the half way point of Level 5 restrictions.
Speaking on tonight's figures Dr Tony Holohan urged caution following another jump in the number of cases confirmed.
He said: “The increase in case numbers of COVID-19 today is an important reminder of the unpredictable nature of this highly infectious disease.
"The hard work undertaken by all of us over the last three weeks is to be commended, but we must not allow our success to date let us drop our guard against the spread of this disease.
“We need to hold firm to the public health advice: keep 2m distance, wash our hands, wear face coverings where appropriate and limit ourselves to essential contacts from our own household. If we can keep up high levels of compliance, we can get to where e need to be on the 1st December.”

Speaking today Taoiseach Micheal Martin said he has long been looking at Level Three as a target for December 1, but said he would also look at "certain areas and sectors" and make modifications.
Current Level Three rules state that all retail can reopen, as well as restaurants and pubs that don't serve food.
However there has been uncertainty on whether wet pubs will be allowed to open their doors, and Martin said a final decision will be made later this month.
He told RTE Radio One: "We're going to have to look specifically at that sector and within that sector different categories for restaurants, hotels and licensed premises, there's no decisions made on that yet.
