More than 90% of those dying from the coronavirus in Ireland are aged 65 or over, the latest figures show.
Nearly 300 people in this age profile have passed away from Covid-19 related issues since the outbreak began.
This is according to the latest data from the Health Surveillance Protection Centre which was recorded as of midnight on Friday.
Just two cases out of the 329 deaths registered by this time involved patients aged between 25-34 - the Republic of Ireland's youngest fatalities.
These represent 0.6% of the country's coronavirus related deaths up to Friday night.
The number of deaths relate to 8,496 laboratory confirmed cases of Covid-19, which represents a case fatality rate of 3.9%.
This means nearly one in 25 people diagnosed with the infection have passed away.

However, the HSPC data does not state how many of these had underlying conditions.
Of the 1,777 patients who were recorded as being hospitalised, 15% were admitted to ICU.
Meanwhile, there have been 334 deaths in the Republic of Ireland according to the most recent figures revealed on Easter Sunday.
Fourteen more people died and a total of 727 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed.
This brought death toll to 334 and the total number of cases in the Republic of Ireland to 9,655.
An additional 430 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 were reported by Irish laboratories and 297 confirmed cases were reported by a laboratory in Germany.
Out of the deaths reported at a Department of Health briefing on Easter Sunday evening, six were women and eight were men.
