Coronavirus Ireland: 859 new cases with 192 in Dublin and four deaths

A further 859 cases of coronavirus in Ireland have been confirmed this evening with 192 in Dublin.

Health chiefs have also announced that four more people have sadly died from the disease.

The total number of confirmed infections since the start of the outbreak now stands at 56,108 while 1,882 people have died from the virus.

Of the cases notified today:

  • 415 are men / 441 are women
  • 62% are under 45 years of age
  • The median age is 35 years old
  • 192 in Dublin, 148 in Cork, 58 in Donegal, 55 in Galway, 54 in Meath, with 352 cases spread across 21 remaining counties.
