Clackmannanshire has overtaken Glasgow with the highest coronavirus infection rate in Scotland, according to the latest figures.
Public Health Scotland has released the latest data on the state of the pandemic across the country.
Clackmannanshire’s 7-day positive rate has now risen to 139.7 per 100,000 population.
The level two area has now overtaken Glasgow’s infection rate, which stands at 136.8. The west of Scotland city is the only area in the country that is currently in level three lockdown.

East Renfrewshire, Midlothian, Renfrewshire and East Dunbartonshire have also now exceeded the Scottish Government’s threshold on level two restrictions.
Orkney was the only area in Scotland to report no cases of coronavirus in the last seven days, according to the data.
A total of 2,398 cases of coronavirus were recorded across Scotland in the week between May 15 and May 21. The number of infections represents 1.8% of all tests taken in the country over that week.
Nicola Sturgeon is set to address the state of the pandemic in Scotland in an ‘urgent’ press briefing later today.

The First Minister will also give Scots an insight into the vaccine rollout, which has been accelerated in some parts of the country in recent days.
