Coronavirus incidence rates for every county in Ireland as Cavan cases worsen

Cavan has seen an explosion of coronavirus cases per 100,000 people over the past several days.

The figures are revealed in the latest incidence rate table as another 1,000 cases of Covid-19 were confirmed around Ireland today.

The hard-hit county had another 81 cases in the past 24 hours.

Its 14-day incidence rate per 100,000 people, the highest in the country for several days, is now 735.1 - well over three times the national average and nearly double that of the closest county, Meath.

Some 560 cases have been confirmed in the past 14 days in Cavan alone.

The whole country's IR is 217.9 as we have seen 10,377 cases in the past two weeks.

Meanwhile, Tipperary's IR is the lowest in Ireland at 88.4, with 22 new cases over the past 24 hours and 141 in the past two weeks.
