Coronavirus in Scotland: Two more Scots die from virus taking hospital death toll to 2472

Two people have died overnight from coronavirus as the total hospital death toll reached 2472.

18,130 Scots have now tested positive - an increase of 26 from yesterday.

A total of 903 people are currently being treated in hospital for confirmed or suspected Covid-19 while 14 are in intensive care.

Households are set to receive information about the Test and Protect system from the Scottish Government and health chiefs (PA)

The latest figures comes after Nicola Sturgeon called on all Scots to learn the latest lockdown rules as the country enters phase two of easing restrictions.

The First Minister admitted the latest regulations may appear complex to some - but said it was a collective responsibility to understand them.

A new public information called FACTS  - with each letter a reminder of the key measures Scots must comply with - has been unveiled to assist the public.

F:Face coverings must be worn in crowded places such as shops, and always when using public transport

A:Avoid crowded places wherever possible

C:Clean your hands and hard surfaces in your house regularly

T:Two-metre social distancing is required whenever you are outside meeting others or in shops

S:Self-isolate at home if you develop the symptoms of Covid-19
