Coronavirus in Scotland - third person dead as number of cases in Scotland rises to 227

A third person in Scotland who tested positive for coronavirus has died, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed.

Speaking at a media briefing on coronavirus this afternoon, Ms Sturgeon said the total number of positive tests in Scotland has risen to 227 from 195 yesterday.

The news comes after Glasgow Life announced the closure of all libraries, concert halls, museums and Glasgow Club gyms last night amid the outbreak.

While First Glasgow have this afternoon announced they will be rolling out a school holiday timetable for the foreseeable future as of Monday (March 23) on bus routes in the city.
