Coronavirus in Scotland - Number of cases in Glasgow jumps by 20 to 91

The number of positive tests for coronavirus in Glasgow has risen by 20 overnight.

A total of 91 positive tests have been confirmed in Greater Glasgow & Clyde, up from 71 cases yesterday.

The updated figures, released by the Scottish Government minutes ago, confirm that 322 have tested positive for the virus in Scotland - an increase of 56 from yesterday.

The figures come after Nicola Sturgeon warned the Scottish public that they must not consider the advice to stay indoors as "optional" amid the crisis.

Speaking at a press conference this afternoon, Ms Sturgeon advised everyone in the country to stay at home as much as possible and avoid social interactions "unless it is absolutely essential" to go out.
