Coronavirus in Scotland: No deaths recorded with 26 new cases confirmed

No people in Scotland have died overnight from coronavirus as the total hospital death toll stayed at 2,472.

18,156 Scots have now tested positive - an increase of 26 from yesterday.

A total of 518 people are currently being treated in hospital for confirmed or suspected Covid-19 while 16 are in intensive care.

The latest figures comes after Nicola Sturgeon called on all Scots to learn the latest lockdown rules as the country enters phase two of easing restrictions.

Households are set to receive information about the Test and Trace system from the Scottish Government and health chiefs (PA)

The First Minister admitted the latest regulations may appear complex to some - but said it was a collective responsibility to understand them.

A new public information called FACTS  - with each letter a reminder of the key measures Scots must comply with - has been unveiled to assist the public.

F: Face coverings must be worn in crowded places such as shops, and always when using public transport

A: Avoid crowded places wherever possible

C: Clean your hands and hard surfaces in your house regularly

T: Two-metre social distancing is required whenever you are outside meeting others or in shops
