Coronavirus in Scotland: More than 100 new cases recorded this weekend ahead of schools returning

Scotland has recorded more than 100 new coronavirus cases in just one weekend.

A further 48 positive cases have been confirmed today (Sunday).

Of the total, 28 are in the Grampian health board, while two are in Greater Glasgow.

Over just two days, 108 new cases have been detected across the country.

Three patients have been in intensive care over the weekend, with 261 people in hospital overall.

There are currently 151 patients positive for coronavirus in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde hospitals.

There have been no coronavirus deaths registered in the last 24 hours.
