Coronavirus in Scotland: Edinburgh cafe forced to temporarily close as staff self isolate

An Edinburgh café has been forced to temporarily close with staff self-isolating as a "precaution".

Fortitude Coffee opened its new branch in Stockbridge in February and has quickly become a neighbourhood hit.

However, the independent café owners told coffee-lovers they've had to close as a "precautionary measure" on Thursday (12 November).

A post on the cafe's Instagram read: "Unfortunately our Stockbridge café will be closed for a few days while some of our staff self-isolate as a precautionary measure.

"We hope to be back open soon.

"Our York Place café will remain open for your caffeine fix in the meantime, serving delicious coffee and retail to take home.

"Thanks for your understanding."

It appears the café is still closed, with no further update on the situation given on Fortitude Coffee's social media.

"Hope everyone is ok," commented one follower.

Another added: "Sorry to hear this and hope all are well and back at it soon!"
